It's Got to Be One of These

Continuing on the long tradition of end of the world predictions, today's entry is about the most famous round of EotW prophecies. Much like the predictions of Harold Camping, the Watch Tower Society used a timeline of the Bible in order to predict the second coming. Unfortunately, they got it wrong, again and again and again...etc. The scholars predicted that the final battle of good and evil would happen in 1914. This turned out to be wrong.

They predicted a few other years after that. 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975 and the list may still be going. 1975 was chosen as the absolute, definite year because it was supposedly the 6,000th year after Adam's creation. The end did not come as we can tell by simply looking outside and seeing the world. There was another prediction for 1994, but that one obviously fell through as well. Fortunately, for those of us who enjoy watching this sort of thing, they are not done with the predictions.
