This past Monday, AlienGF and I took a trip to the Bedford Reservation of the MetroParks to go to the landmark, Squire's Castle. We parked at the Strawberry Lane Picnic Area and walked along the Salamander Trail. Along the way, I got some great nature shots.
I love fallen trees, especially when it looks like they're simply taking a break from falling. This one was quite sturdy, though.
This was pointed out to me by AlienGF as poison ivy. Now I know what it looks like so I will be careful.
I love the root structure here because it reminds me of Cthulu. Exposed roots are really cool.
And this is Squire's Castle which was built by a millionaire many years back. It's the site of many weddings, but on this day was just a tourist destination. Luckily, we didn't get in the rain storm that followed after we got to the car and to lunch.
Thanks for joining me on this photo tour through the woods. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed bringing it to you. Have a good evening.
