The End seems like a good word to stick with for a little longer. I have decided to look back at the frustration that was finally the undoing of Alien's Planet. After three web hosting companies failed to keep the Planet alive, it was time to move on. I am going to include the comments since there were only a few.
No Post Tonight August 13, 2008 8:39 PM Home First, all apologies to Evil-E, once I get the expected double-talk answer from my web host I will be most likely be canceling this account and setting Evil-E free to open a new WordPress blog. I, on the other hand, don't know what I'm going to do. I enjoy writing code and having a unique design and having the freedom to do what I want. So, I'm not sure what the future holds for this alien. I will continue my album at another time when I'm in a better mood. Thanks. This was truly the end of an era for me. I always hoped Alien's Planet would last for many more years than it did. I still find myself regretting that ending in my life, but then the fresh start to follow wasn't too bad. My blog hasn't gone down yet (knocks on wood). I hope you enjoyed this look back at the end.
laura b. August 13, 2008 8:42 PM Would you consider continuing your search for a better host, while concurrently running a less creative blog at Wordpress or Blogger? We don't want to lose our Alien fix. Just consider it for the fans.
Evil-E August 13, 2008 8:49 PM I was sleeping....what happened? This "lack of a post" is actually an Existential crossroads. the post that I am commenting on exists, but you are not considering this a post. It exists therefore it isn't.
AlienCG August 13, 2008 9:03 PM Laura: I thought about it, but I don't think I could go through the pain of finding another host and finding out that they suck. Evil-E: Once again, the site was down and my request for an explanation fell on deaf ears. I am approaching critical mass.
